US Ski Team’s 5 Essential Ski Training Exercises

Hot Wax Vs. Hand Wax

The sweaters have come out and the snow has fallen and what does that mean? Ski and ride season is upon us again and I am sure your gear is ready and eager to wake up from its long summers nap. But don’t head to the slopes in such a hurry just yet, make sure you stop into the Skiers Edge to get a full check up on all your gear. While your hear tweaking and adjusting ask our service staff for a new season wax on your skis or snowboard.

We have two options here at the shop when it comes to equipment waxes. You can choose from a free hot wax or a five dollar hand wax. Out hot wax is a simple wax from the machine that takes about a minute to get started and finished. This wax is used for a one day use only, this would be best from those of you who only ski a few times a year when coming up to visit your cabin. When it comes to your longer trips, it would be better to look into our hand wax, this is a slightly more involved procedure, still only taking a few minutes from start to finish. Our service techs take their time to ensure your board or skis are set with a good even wax that will send you down the slopes smooth and easy. This wax last for 2-3 days and is worth the five dollar charge. Stop in and talk to our staff about any other questions you might have on getting your gear set up for this winter season.
